M. N. Baryshnikov. Nobel Brothers Oil Partnership: Balance of Interests and Company Performance
V.6, N2, 2008
Nobel Brothers Oil Partnership activity in 1879–1914 allows to suggest that the balance of interests was one of the main factors influencing the performance of companies and manifested in effective interaction of owners and managers. The most important result of this research is the generalized concept of the firm as a mechanism for not only organizational, but also the institutional (informal and legal) binding, i.e. limitation of individual and group interests.
